Things I'm Loving

It's been a long time between posts in this series. I decided to give 'Things I'm Loving' a rest for a while because I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I found I was scrounging for things to find, and it shouldn't be that way. I've tried to revive it a couple of times between now and then to no avail, but I'm hoping this will be the push to get it going again.

Firstly, I'm loving feeling better. I was feeling super drained towards the end of the term, and the holidays have really perked me up again. It's amazing what spending some time with friends and having some 'me' time can do in such a short amount of time.

Super loving this photo of first time on a swing for this girl. She's such a cheery little thing. We've had a trying time with her and sleep recently (although tough for us is probably nothing compared with others, we're such wusses!) but seeing her little smiley face (at an appropriate time of the day) means you can't help but love her to bits.

Also loving 'Murder Burger' milkshakes. Burger was OK, although I wouldn't go for the Wild boar bacon number again. I prefer my bacon super normal thank you very much.

Loving this big girl and the fact that she pretty much always spells her name correctly, it's just that sometimes H and S sound so much alike! I love that she loves learning. I intrinsically do things with her, sometimes without realising it. and she loves to learn, and boy can she ask a question!

And last but not least...I'm looking forward to planning a trip to go and do this. Eeeep!

Things I'm Loving

I can tell you one thing I'm not loving this week - the weather. Man it's been shocking. I haven't been able to get out for a walk at all. But some fun things have gone on...

I'm loving the confidence in my big girl. Two months ago at the same playground she was terrified of climbing on this and needed a lot of my help, as she wanted to give it a go, but was scared. During this visit she was nothing short of a spider monkey and poor helicopter mummy had to keep on asking her not to go to high lest I have a heart attack. It's bittersweet to hear the words, "I can do it myself mummy, I don't need your help". What a clever girl.

I'm loving American Horror Story: Freak Show. I've watched all the seasons of this show, I love horrors, and had found the original series 'Death House' the best. I didn't particularly like 'Asylum' at all, but did really like the last installment 'Coven', although it didn't really have too much of a scary vibe. This season though, I'm scared. I think it could be good enough to become my favourite season. How scary is Twisty? I haven't even got a fear of clowns and this guy gives me the hebe jebes.

Loving Cloud Dough. Is so easy to make and was probably the first messy thing that Leah and I have made that she really got stuck into.

I love my Halloween nails so much, we all know I like sugar skulls... I may have to find some more designs that have them because I just love these so much.

Loving how we're moving from newborn to being able to do some things other than stare, lol. She has a beautiful smile and coos like a trooper. This morning she did a roll, but I think it was a fluke. Her neck is getting so strong. She's just a delight.

Now, I don't love what he's doing, but I sure love how cheeky this dog is. Jake loves sleeping on his or our bed during the day, but when Willow is sleeping in there, the door is closed. I had kicked him off the couch about 10 times and then couldn't find him. He was on the end of Leah's bed trying it out. Cheeky boy.

And lastly, I love my little ladybird, all ready for her first daycare disco. She's too cute, this kid. I love her so much.

What are you loving this week?

Things I'm Loving

I've been feeling pretty fantastic this week....although, I was just thinking back through and looking at my photos and I've lost a day somewhere. I can't remember Wednesday at all. Lol. Love how all the days mesh into one when you're not working!

This week I'm loving my new lifestyle (after 5 days it hasn't become boring, or difficult - don't worry, I'm waiting (and prepared) for it). Getting out and exercising, eating well.... it's going goooood :)

We really loved our big walk through the Awhitu Regional Park. It was a beautiful morning (the weather turned crappy in the afternoon) and it was lovely exploring. We saw Rainbow Lorikeets, Tuis and Kingfishers. It was delightful. Will definitely be doing it again.

Loved making an easy kite with this girl this morning and running around with it.

And also doing a bit of baking. Leah loves licking the spoons. What a cutie.

Loving that we can (sort of) hold our rattle, we're learning.

Loving this design that I found. Hoping that my nail lady will be able to pull it off next Thursday!

It's the long weekend! What's not to love?

Things I'm loving

Every week may not be good but there is something good in every week.
Loving the fact that this little girl has got herself into a good little routine and is sleeping a lot better and crying a lot less. Perhaps I just forgot about Leah being grouchy for that first 6 weeks?

Loved this 'better-than-crack' brownie that I made. Omnomnom. Recipe to come on Tuesday.

I thought it was great being able to take Jake and Bubba out for a walk after we drop Leah off at daycare in the morning. May have to become a regular deal. Twice this week and it was lovely.

This beautiful girl. It amazes me that she's mine sometimes. So stunning.

And speaking of a beautiful girl, she needs beautiful dresses. Thanks again Punk baby.

Loved scooting past this on instagram

<3 This bum

And LOVE this friendship continuing to blossom.

Things I'm Loving

Every week may not be good but there is something good in every week.
This week I'm loving The South Sydney Rabbitohs and their historic win over the Bulldogs in the NRL Grand Final last Sunday. Being a New Zealander, I of course first and foremost support the NZ Warriors, but my 2nd team, my Australian adoptees are the SS Bunnies. Originally because on the whole they're so good looking! Hah. Well done boys, very well deserved indeed.

On Tuesday I got out of the house with my smallest friends and went to De Fontein in Mission Bay for a choice as mussel pot. NOM! Little Miss, after a shocker Saturday out for lunch, slept the whole time, what a good girl.

And also on my Tuesday excursion, I picked up my new drink bottle from Typo. In LOVE with it.

Loving these two...

And these two as usual...

I'm loving having time to play around with Leah's hair in the morning. One of my 30 goals before I'm 30 is to learn how to do some wicked cool hairstyles for the girls and me and without even looking at any tutorials or anything (which I still plan to do) I've been able to come up with some cute styles. Loved how this one turned out earlier in the week.

And last but not least, I am so absolutely delighted with the way my herb and vege pots are looking. I began this venture at the beginning of the year and neglected the herbs. I finished spray painting the remainder of the pots a few weeks ago, moved them up onto and around the wheel last week and have been working on renewing the existing plants and buying and planting some new ones over the last week or two. It's looking super cute now and I'm glad the idea looks as good in reality as it did when I thought it up. Yus! Now to keep them alive...

Things I'm Loving

Every week may not be good, but there is something good in every week.
I've been having a bit of a blah week this week. I don't know if you're aware of this but a three year old and a newborn are hard work! Lol. Wouldn't trade it in for the world though xox. Let's see how this week went...

I'm loving that our first month photo went well. This wasn't the winner but I love her little smile in it. Very cute. Having a look at the comparison between Leah's Month 1 photo has shown how similar the two of them are and also how far my photography skills have come!

Loved having a wee bit of sun and a sleeping little girl so that me and my big girl could enjoy the sun for a bit one day after daycare. I've been struggling with how I can't spend as much time with Leah lately and how my wick is very short with her. These little moments of zen, when all my moons align, are priceless.

I love my pretty recipe organiser that one of my bestest friends bought for me. Those 'just cuz it reminded me of you' gifts are what makes the world go around. <3 Thanks Nicola.

Love. My. Nails. I actually can't stop looking at them. In love. So far the line of stones has stayed on for a whole day! Almost a record for me.

Loving that daylight savings inspired a little bit of summer. So much so that it was cider time. Now if it would stop raining and being so windy I would be really stoked.

Loving this... I'm trying!

This brought a smile to my face earlier in the week.. ya know, when I knew the sun. Lol.

What are you loving this week?
