Things I'm Loving

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is.

It has been a ridiculously busy week - back to school and a sick wee girl on top of all the other craziness that goes on around here. Phew! TGIF!

I'm loving Waitangi Day! Whoever's brilliant idea it was to have the first week of school missing the Thursday out of it gets the nod in my books. It was a well needed opportunity to have a sleep in... even if I had to bribe Mr. Man to get up with Leah so I could.

Someone has been loving that mummy decided to have some ice cream in the house and is LOVING ice cream cones. I'm just loving her saying "mmm Ice cream is delicious, it's my favourite!" and "sanks mumma, you're the best!" whilst she's eating said cone.

Loving the Fat mum slim photo a day challenge this year. Have done most days and am doing a pretty good job on remembering.

Love how we let elmo see what's what.

Loving this boy despite his naughtiness. There's just something about 60kgs of dog thinking he's a puppy that cracks me up. Love you Jakey <3

And lastly but not least, I love my new Mario game on DS. I was sad when I finished Zelda but am happy that I had something I got into straight away to go on with. Thanks for the birthday present Mr Man!

"Children must be taught HOW to think, not WHAT to think"

Day 8 & 9:
What I ate today.

Today isn't over, and I find this one incredibly boring on a normal day. So, I'll write what I'm planning to eat?
Breakfast: Morning sickness... nothin'
Lunch: Maybe a slice of pizza if I'm feeling up to it.
Dinner: Spag bol.

Boring huh?

How important you think education is
I must think it's fairly important huh? I'm a teacher! There is a part of the video I am going to attach below that says if the drop out rates in the states of Native Amercians were cut in half (80% down to 40%) then it would benefit their economy by $1 trillion over 10 years. That surely highlights how important an education is right?
I although do think the word 'education' needs to be rethought in some people's minds, as the video also goes over. I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of the video and what it says about what some (and unfortunately those who are making legislation) consider to be 'education'. So, without further adieu... I'll let Ken speak for me <3
