Things I'm loving...

Not every day is good but there is something good in every day...or every week in this case!

I love this sushi face. She ate the whole lot so it couldn't have been too bad!

Loving the 100 days project. I've decided to take a photograph of one thing a day that makes me happy - loving the positivity! You can view my project here.

Loving Mr. Vintage! I asked and they produced! They had a style I liked but not in Leah's size. I emailed them and within a few days what I wanted was on my doorstep. Kia ora Mr. Vintage!

Loving my big boy. He's been so good with the move and... well, how can you not love this adorable face.

Loving the husband that got so excited about the hail he had to take a photo of it.

And lastly...TGIF. Loving the end of the week. Was ready for it!

Character Description

My friend and colleague Lynn and I have been teaching a lovely group of darlings for some writing extension. One part of this is writing models to show them what good writers do and what a good piece of writing looks like. This week we're looking at describing a person we know. Lynn taught the lesson and wrote about me and I wanted to share. I hope she doesn't mind, here it is.

Kind green eyes scan the classroom for students she can compliment. She tucks her straight brown hair behind one ear and leans quietly in to speak to one child. Her voice is quiet yet encouraging, and her comments are often laced with humour. Mrs Clarke prefers to wear comfortable clothes. She loves to wear black but tries to inject her outfits with a dash of colour.
Mrs Clarke’s creativity is evident in much of what she does. She loves to make crafty things and willingly shares her ideas and expertise with others. Mrs Clarke proudly calls herself a geek; she loves all things digital, especially gaming, blogging and digital photography.
Mrs Clarke makes all the children in her class feel special. This is because she genuinely likes children, and seeing them learn. Her friends appreciate her for her generosity, especially in sharing her time and talents with them. Mrs Clarke also values her family dearly. She cooks delicious meals for her husband and daughter, and often goes on family adventures with them, and her beloved rottweiler Jake.

I am lucky to be able to call Mrs Clarke a colleague and a friend. We enjoy working together and having fun together.

Things I'm loving.....our house

Not every day is good but there is something good in every day...or every week in this case!

I am aware I've been a very MIA blogger the past few weeks and I'm very sorry. I'm hoping to rectify this in the next little while once things calm down around here. We move house tomorrow so once we're settled in I'm hoping to get back into my blogging groove. It's been nice to have a little break from it, but I've missed it too!

So this week's Things I'm loving is dedicated to our house.

Our first house.
At 21 and 23, you were a major achievement.
How proud we were.
We started off with very little furniture, now we have too much!

The house where we started our family,
First with a little fur baby named Vince
and followed by another ball of fluff called Jake.
Then came the real deal,
Our brand new little girl.
Here is where we made you, we dreamed of you and we brought you home.
You took your first step here, said your first words here, said your first 'I love you' here.

Our home.
Where he asked me to marry him.
Where we waved at each other between the kitchen and the garage.
Where we danced drunkenly in the lounge (one of my favourite memories)
Where we brought our little girl home.
Where we started to make memories.

Thank you little home.
You were a great start.
